The public is invited to listen to the Choralis 2017 Young Artists Competition, which will take place next Saturday, October 14th at Fairfax Presbyterian Church, 10723 Main Street, Fairfax, VA.   Twenty vocal soloists between the ages of 22 and 32 will compete to be featured as a guest solo artist for a March 2018 Choralis performance of Handel’s Messiah.

The Competition will begin at 10:00 am, with each competitor performing a solo piece with piano accompaniment.  Listeners are welcome to stay for all of part of the Competition, but may only enter or leave between performers.

Choralis established the Young Artists Competition as an annual event in 2016 as part of our mission of cultivating a passion for choral music.  Choralis is pleased to also offer the Competition as a free listening opportunity for the community.
