The Choralis Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the 2017 Young Artists Competition held on October 14, 2017. Five winners were named by Choralis Artistic Director Gretchen Kuhrmann and Associate Conductor Todd Fickley: Suzanne Karpov, Soprano; Madelyn R. Wanner, Mezzo Soprano; Logan Tanner, Countertenor; Matthew Hill, Tenor; and Mark Wanich, Baritone.

The winners will be featured as soloists for the Choralis chamber ensemble performance of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at St. Luke Catholic Church, McLean, Virginia.

Choralis established the Young Artists Competition to support the career development of emerging vocal soloists. Choralis also has a High School Singing Scholars program, the Cantus Choral Scholars Program for youth in grades 4-8, and a Conducting Fellowship program.
