Tickets for the 9th Annual Greater Washington Area Choral Excellence (Ovations) Awards are now on sale. At this gathering of the choral community, the J. Reilly Lewis Ovation Award for Outstanding Contributions to Choral Music will be presented to Lisa Koehler, founder of Singer Source. Three additional Ovation awards also will be presented: Most Creative Programming, Best A Cappella Ensemble, and Best New Recording. Choralis established the Ovations Awards in 2010 to foster greater collegiality and collaboration across the Metro DC choral community.
The Ovation awards will be presented at a “Black and White” event (black and white attire suggested) that includes a wine reception, seated dinner, songs and tributes to the main honoree. Tickets can be purchased through the link below. Early Bird pricing of $105 per ticket is in effect through May 15. Regular pricing of $125 per ticket begins on May 16.
Choralis also invites the purchase of a “Support a Nominee” ticket for $105. Donations given in this way help cover the cost of providing complimentary Ovations tickets to award nominees and other expenses of the event. A “Support the Nominee” ticket also can be purchased through the link below.
