In Celebration of Life: Mozart and Fauré

Choralis will perform a March concert of works by Mozart and Fauré. The Mozart pieces span the composer’s life — the spirited Missa brevis in F major, K. 192, written when he was only 18, and the exquisite Motet in D major, Ave verum Corpus, K. 618, written just five months before his death. The Fauré selection is Requiem in D minor, Op. 48, a masterpiece written shortly after his father’s death to comfort all who are mourning the passing of a life.
